1. WiFi

2. House Rules

  • We aim to make your stay as comfortable as possible. For us to do so, we appreciate if you can follow the following house rules.
  • We ask that you treat the house with the same respect that you do your own home.
  • Please no pets without prior agreement, smoking or parties in the property.
  • Please respect the courtesy quiet time between 10pm and 7am for our neighbours.
  • Only guests who are on the original booking are allowed to stay overnight.
  • No open flames or candles are allowed in the property.
  • There is a strict ‘No Smoking Policy’ in place. Any evidence of smoking in the house will result in extra cleaning charges.

3. Electronics.

Apple TV:

Turn the TV on using the large black remote. To connect to Apple TV, use the smaller silver

remote and click on the menu button. Use the track pad to select the apps you want to use.

Log in to the streaming apps with your own account log in details.


Air Conditioning/Heating

The controls are located to the right of the pantry in the hallway.


Laundry

There is a top loader washing available for your use. Some detergent is supplied to get you

started. The clothes line is out the side of the house plus there is a fold up clothes horse near the

outdoor dining table.


Pool

Water fountain - the switch to turn on the water fountain can be found next to the bi-fold doors.

It’s the bottom left switch.

Lights - the bottom right switch operates the pool lights. You can change the colour of the pool

lights by turning them on and off rapidly.


Coffee Machine - Meile

  • the machine needs 5 minutes warm up time.
  • see instruction manual for this machine at the back of this house manual.
  • special note - water is replaced by opening the machine from the right hand side and removing the tank. Be careful not to rest the tank as the water will drain from the bottom. When replacing the tank, make sure you lift it high enough for the toggle not to allow the water out.
  • there are beans in the machine ready for your use.

4. House Guide.

House Supplies

Starter supplies including coffee, tea, sugar, toilet paper and soap are available for you to use.

There are supermarkets located just a short drive from the house should you wish to restock for

yourself.


Housekeeping

This house has been cleaned prior to your arrival and will be cleaned upon your departure. If you

require a mid-stay clean, please contact us with 24 hours notice. Please note charges apply.


Repairs and Maintenance

While all care is taken to maintain our properties, please notify us as soon as possible of any

new maintenance issues that may occur during your stay.


Rubbish

On check out please take all rubbish/recycling to bins. You will find them in the driveway. Bin

collection day is Friday morning. If you are staying at the property on Thursday night we’d be

very grateful if you could put the bins on the curb for collection.


Fire Alarm

Please be aware that the house is fitted with a sensitive smoke detector that is easily activated.

False alarms and fire department call outs are expensive, so please take care while cooking. A

fine of approximately $1000 can be imposed. Please make sure exhaust fans are in use.


BBQ

Please clean the BBQ after use. If you need a new gas bottle we recommend exchanging it at

the local petrol station or Bunnings. Please send Meredith the receipt so you can be reimbursed.


Pool

We look after the pool between stays. Given the beautiful natural setting leaves do fall in the

pool. There is a scoop on the side you can use to clean them out if required. If there are any

issues please contact Meredith on 0421 833 600 and we will address these.

Open Monday to Sunday

Lunch: 12:00pm to 2.30pm

Fine dining with lovely view. Good seafood.

Located on the scenic canals of Pelican Waters.

7. Things To Do

Beachs

Golden Beach (8 min drive) - calmer waters for children. Patrolled beach with toilet block and play ground.

Kings Beach - (13 mins) - One of our favourites.

Bulock Beach - (11 mins)

Moffat Beach - (13 min drive) - walk out to Moffat Headland Lookout then refresh in the surf before grabbing a bite at

Moffat Beach Brewing Co. Beachside.

Dicky Beach - (11 min drive) - patrolled beach.


Ginger Factory and Nut works (35 min drive)

50 Pioneer Rd, Yandina

Open everyday except Christmas Day // 9.00am - 5.00pm

This is a great place for all the family. Morton the train is a great for the kids, but also a lovely way to hear about the history of ginger growing and processing in the region. You can do tours of the factory and there are often special events on. Look at the events and book tickets online via their website https://www.gingerfactory.com.au/.


I also highly recommend going across the road and taste testing the macadamia nuts at Nutworks. They have the most

delicious sweet and savoury combos. https://shop.nutworks.com.au/


Eumundi Markets (40 min drive)

This is a really popular and well known open air market that was established in 1979. It has locally based arts and crafts

plus street food. Lots of variety too.

Go on a boat tour:

There are several tours you can take from Pelican Waters, including a sunset cruise and a whale watching and dolphin

watching tour. Caloundra Cruise departs from 38 Pelican Waters Blvd, Caloundra. You can book online.

 

Caloundra Coastal Walk - 25 km walk that offers stunning views if the coastline. Pick a section to do one day.


The Big Kart track (20 min drive)

2310 Steve Irwin Way, Landsborough

Open 7 days a week every day of the year except Christmas Day.

Need a change from the beach and an adrenaline injection?


Aussie World (20 mins)

73 Frizzo Rd, Palmview

Open 10am to 3 or 4pm. Lots of rides. Great day out for the kids.

8. Day Trip Ideas.

Within driving distance

Australia Zoo - 30 min drive

This is the zoo made famous by Steve Irwin. His children still present there during school holidays.

There are an array of native animals to look at and watch. It’s a great day out.


Noosa and the Hinterland (46 mins to 1 hour)

Take a wander along Hasting Street and see the lovely boutiques, have a swim at the beach then

polish off a burger at Betty’s Burgers. You could also pick strawberries at Cooloola Berries or just take

a drive around, taking in the sites (e.g historic pubs) through Doonan, Pomona, Cooran and Cooroy.


Montville and Kondilla Falls - 40 mins drive

Walk down to the Kondilla Falls under the beautiful tropical canopy and have a swim at in the

swimming hole. Afterwards, drop into Montville for a meal (Montville Cafe Bar & Grill has good food) or

some delicious chocolate beverages and treats at Chocolate Country Montville.


Rainbow Beach - 2 hour

Create a great memory and go for a horse back ride on Rainbow beach. Check out the website for all

Alternatively, take a 4WD tour. 70 km on white sandy beaches. Details here - https://www.greatbeachdrive4wdtours.com/


Glass House Mountains - 40 mins

11 ranges great for hiking. We personally love the 4km circuit trail around Mount Tibrogargan. It's

really suitable for families with picnic tables and toilets at the beginning of the trail.

Google Glasshouse mountains for heaps of trail information.


Bribie Island -1 hour 30 mins

Great day trip. Go fishing from Bongaree Jetty or have a swim at Sylvan beach. This beach has

toilets, picnic and BBQ areas and playgrounds. If you own a 4WD then you can explore Bribie Island’s

National Park. If you don’t own a 4WD you can book an off road tour with G’Day Adventure Tours.

9. Check Out.

Check out is at 10am

We hope you enjoyed your stay with us! If you would like a later check-out time please

contact us and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

Laundry

Don’t worry about making the bed as we will be washing all the linen anyway. If you

want to go the extra mile, you can peel off the sheets, and place them on the bed. It’s

not really necessary but appreciated.


As you leave

Please lock all of the doors and windows, switch off lights and aircon/heater and pull

the door shut behind you.


Rubbish

On checkout please take all rubbish/recycling to bins outside. If you are staying on bin

night (Thursday) could you kindly put the bin out ready for collection on Friday morning.


Dishes

Please stack and turn on the dishwasher or wash your dishes before you go.
